FUNDINGChoose One Funding Stream
Round 5 is different to BlazeAid's All Fired Up Grant. South Australian applicants choose one funding stream and, if successful, receive reimbursement up to that stream's maximum.
Maximum reimbursement for eligible new Farm Fire Units that align with CFS guidance and relevant South Australian requirements.
Maximum reimbursement for eligible safety items including heat shields, woollen fire blankets, amber beacons, first aid/burns kits and fire-rated PPE.
Maximum reimbursement for eligible hose/branch, water pumps, water tanks of at least 400L with a fill point, and UHF/CB radios.

- Evidence of that FFU registration with your application
- To be planning an eligible future purchase
- To apply before 18 September 2026
Check before applying

- You may apply under one stream only
- Previously purchased equipment is not eligible
- Trailer FFUs are discouraged by CFS

Don't own an FFU yet? CFS says you can still register a Farm Fire Unit for the purpose of applying. If your grant application is unsuccessful, that registration will be cancelled.
HOW IT WORKSFrom Application to Reimbursement

Wait for the outcome
CFS anticipates applicants will be informed of outcomes on 26 October 2026.
Purchase during the eligible period
If successful, purchase the approved eligible equipment within the anticipated 26 October to 7 December 2026 purchase period, then provide the required proof of purchase for reimbursement.
