Are the tanks made in Australia, and what materials are used?

Yes, Rapid Spray’s tanks are Australian-made and constructed from durable, UV-stabilised polyethylene (poly), known for being rust-proof and impact-resistant – ideal for harsh conditions.

What warranty coverage is available?

All tanks come with a 15-year full tank warranty plus 10 years pro-rata warranty, with free repairs or replacements for defects (non pro-rata). Warranty activation is required – register online or via the warranty card within 21 days of purchase.

What factors should I consider when choosing a cartage tank?

Rapid Spray recommends considering:

  • Liquid compatibility (weight/SG)

  • Capacity requirements

  • Application needs (portability, durability, spray features)

  • Transport and mounting requirements (e.g., galvanised steel frames, trailer compatibility)

What about liquid movement and stability during transport?

To reduce slosh and surge, Rapid Spray offers a Ball Baffle System, especially effective for tanks over 800 L (large baffles) and up to 600 L (small baffles). These help stabilise the liquid during transport.

Find out how Ball Baffles can help reduce the slosh and surge in vehicles, and improve liquid transport.

Are there specific standards, regulations, or safety warnings to be aware of?

Yes – some of them include:

  • Always follow vehicle manufacturer guidelines, including payload limits.

  • One litre of water weighs one kilogram; overloading can be dangerous.

  • Tanks are not certified for transporting dangerous goods unless expressly advised.

  • Ensure safe mounting, full base support, and correct use of fittings. Improper use may void warranty and pose safety risks.

Always follow the safe operating procedures of your vehicle and as outlined in the operators handbook. Always follow local, state and federal regulations.

How do modular tanks work and what are their advantages?

Rapid Spray offers FlexConnex Modular Tanks in V1 and V2 versions:

  • Expandable “plus-one” system that allows adding more modules as needs grow.

  • Two-way baffle system provides both longitudinal and lateral liquid stabilization.

  • Compartmentalisation, enabling separate or combined draining/filling.

Can these tanks carry potable (drinking) water?

Yes – all the Rapid Spray manufactured tanks, such as the Portable Water Cartage Tanks (Aqua-V) are food-grade and UV-stabilised for potable water transport, with the full 25-year* warranty included.

How are these tanks sold and delivered?

Most tanks are offered via dealer pickup; you choose a local distributor who handles shipping and collection. Supporting local dealers also ensures better after-sales service.

Can I use a standard water cartage tank for transporting liquid fertiliser?

While water cartage tanks are suitable for water, transporting liquid fertiliser requires tanks specifically designed for such chemicals. These specialised tanks are constructed with materials resistant to the corrosive nature of fertilisers, ensuring longevity and safety.

Our Active range and above is especially made for the transport of liquids such as fertilisers.

How do I prevent sloshing during transport?

To minimise liquid movement, consider tanks equipped with internal baffle systems. These systems reduce wave motion, enhancing stability during transit.

The Ball Baffle range has been designed specifically to reduce the slosh and surge of liquid inside tanks.
